Maggie Ho
R.Ac, BA Psyc
Maggie is a licensed and board certified Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (CTCMA). She attained her Bachelor of Arts degree from UBC, majoring in Psychology, and has previously worked with children with autism.
Maggie works together with her patients towards improving their physical and mental health for long-term, sustainable changes. She aims for quick healing times and is known to send her patients off with at-home care tips to enhance their therapeutic effects.
Maggie trained under Dr Eileen Han and Dr Sonia Tan, and is a Certified Balance Method practitioner. By applying classical acupuncture to modern day channel theory, this powerful distal technique is able to yield highly effective results for stress and anxiety, sleep difficulties, gastrointestinal challenges, gynaecological and fertility issues, and commonly, body tension and pain. Together with Sports Medicine training with Dr Whitfield Reaves, Maggie is able to use anatomically based assessment tools with effective acupuncture treatment protocols.
Maggie's strong passion for women’s wellness led her to complete additional fertility + pregnancy training. Having been through fertility treatments herself and working with a Vancouver fertility clinic, she has a deep love and respect for this profound journey. She has continuing successes with fertility and pregnancy issues, and can safely treat all trimesters of pregnancy. Maggie also has a focus on labour preparation in the latter stages of pregnancy in preparation for a smooth, happy and healthy delivery.
As a firm believer in natural care, Maggie has also had extensive training in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture. This carefully designed treatment naturally stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, softens and smooths wrinkles, and lifts and tones facial muscles for a noticeably vibrant appearance.
When not treating her patients, Maggie can be found around town with her husband, two sons, her senior but young-at-heart terrier, and newest rescue pup. She loves the ease that dogs can offer and has had experience volunteering at the Vancouver Cancer Agency for 5 years as a certified therapy dog team member. Maggie enjoys a good laugh and taking weekend road trips with her boys to discover parts of the great Northwest.
